Reading books isn't any problem, my pictures look awesome, games look very detailed. Tiny amount of bleeding at the base (landscape) but as others have stated, only on black back grounds and really it does not eliminate from anything. It is not burn you out bright because Prime, but it's plenty bright. At your home I usually ensure that it stays at 50%, within my office I will max against eachother, but also in my defense 3 of my 4 walls are windows really well , i have a wide range of sunlight in here. It's plenty bright. I form of think most people have been pampered and spoiled by gorgeous screens and I can honestly say that is an example may be that. It's simply not super duper IPS HDx400. Stop, it's good, plenty good, for the value. I've thrown some HD video at it looks awesome. And i am just a little snobby in relation to these materials, I'm happy with the display. It is also (when it functions) very responsive from box.
